Our vision is that every child, boy, girl, man and woman with alopecia areata can live their lives as they choose and with complete confidence – as the saying goes, heads up!
Our Mission
The association offers support, advice and a listening ear to alopecia areata patients and their families, and assists in coping with the disease and its consequences. We operate support groups (closed) on social networks, hold meetings, events and more.
Public Activity
The association works to consolidate reliable knowledge about the disease and its treatment methods in conventional and alternative medicine, as well as information on the emotional coping of patients and parents. The association works to make the information accessible to the patient and physician public through the website and other channels.
Achievements
The Health Basket Committee for 2019 responded to the association's request and since then patients with alopecia totalis and universalis are entitled to reimbursement for wig purchase. With the encouragement and support of the association, two drugs for severe alopecia areata were added to the drug basket in 2024. These are the newest and most advanced drugs in the field. Thus, Israel's health basket contains the widest range of alopecia treatments in the world!
